DC TALK has such a large following, as well as the guys on their own as solo artists. I was very surprised to find that there wasn't a group for them. So here it is. Have fun, and what's your favorite song?

Hmmmm I have no clue what my fave song is... I love ALL of them. I tend to find myself putting "What Have We Become?" and "In the Light" on repeat the most, though :)

Hmmm, how dcTalk came into my life:
I went to a Catholic school all my life, and the classes were very small, like 15-20 students in each grade, at most. I should also mention that I came from a class of closed-minded rebels. Ugh, I hated it.
Well... 8 years ago, when I was in the 9th grade, my class went on a retreat, and we LOVED the music that the worship leader's band played. [Normally, christian music made my classmated grunt and complain. I hated it.] But, surprisingly, they loved it as much as I did!
So we asked if we could take a sample of their music back to our church to get teens involved, and they said absolutely... and handed us a "dcTalk" tape and said that's the music they play :)

So, we brought dcTalk to our church, and ever since then, we've had a youth mass every Sunday, with out own band playing some of dcTalk's music.
I'm very proud to have been a part of that inspiration and expansion :)


Well, I've never been to one of dcTalk's shows. But I've been to 3 of Toby's and 1 of Tait's. [I went to the last show of the Winter Jam tour 3 weeks ago, and got to finally see Toby and Tait together live!] I met Tait that night for my 2nd time, and I met Toby's band.

I met Toby and Tait for my first time in October of 2004, at their booksigning.

When Toby went solo, his music and message brought me back to a place of goodness... a place I left behind when I seemed to block out the world and lose my sense of self-worth.
To this day, Toby and Tait and Kevin's solo music, as well as together as dcTalk... continues to strengthen me as a person each and every day. It helps me to remember that I don't want to fall off track anymore, as a person, and to continue to grow in spirituality.

They are such good men, so inspirational, and so passionate about everything they do. I LOVE that :)

No. They are working on something that will be out next year or maybe later. Info came straight from Michael Tait. Thanks for writing a message. We have so many it is hard to keep up! LOL, just kidding. Hope everyone is having a GREAT day!

I am doing a bible study, and realized something interesting last night. Actually it was something horrible. I de-throned God. See, I am really into Christian music, but realized that I was making the artists my focus, instead of God who the music is made for. So please, whoever reads this heed this warning:

GOD REMOVES THOSE FROM HIS THRONE THE ONES WE PLACE THERE.

My mother was on my throne a while ago. She has passed away. This brought me closer to God; it made him my center again. She was my hero. People are hero-worshippers. While it is good to have a hero, it is bad to worship anyone that is not God. It is sinful. We must hold God in the highest esteem, and just love those who are important to us. God takes those away who we put in his place. That is why people die, scandalous things happen, or tragic and life-changing events take place.

GOD DOES WHATEVER IT TAKES TO MAKE HIM THE CENTER OF OUR LIVES.

Make sure God is the center of your focus. Everything happens because of Him. We can get caught up in some incredibly awesome music, but lose our focus, even if our intentions are good.

Well, I talked with Tait and a bandmate of his, in Tyler.

I didn't get to meet Toby at the WinterJam. I saw him, but he was going outside, to leave. But I did talk with some of Toby's bandmates.

I met them both at their booksigning in Dallas. There was only a handful of people there. They signed some cds and their book for me, and we talked for a bit. It was way awesome :)

Where is Perth??

Well, if you're ever at a concert, it's not hard to meet them. They stand around at their merchandise stands, signing and talking with people.

I hope you get the chance to meet them! They're great, awesome men :)
