Found this interesting and thought I shoud share this. Please comment!
Mi beg a likkle bit of a serious dancehall debate ya now regarding the relevance of some a dem ya artist consious vibes 'bout Rastafari, Africa and Repatriation etc. One of the most big thing dat piss me off about whole heapa rasta artist especially the younger generation (yeah mi ah talk all Sizzla, Profit (heh-heh), Anthony B and all these new Bobo youths weh just pop-out from wah day, Oh yeh Betweenie too, blood Buju deh too) is all the rhetoric about repatriation to Africa and mama Africa dis' Mama Africa dat when none a dem nuh got no fucking intention of ever returning to Africa in this life or the next. Now before y'all guh get all yu likkle locks in a twist, I'n I live ah Africa fe a good half of mi life and mi ongle com out ya ina de cold fe gi' I family a bligh dem woulda never get a Africa, but si mi- mi ago back yard when mi time done ina dis cold bloodcleet. That's ongle cos I'm from Africa suh me can love and appreciate the place and all mi family dung deh suh and all. But does Sizzla really expect I man fe believe him have a genuine wish to return to Africa? (I only use his name as an example , love da artist music) Right, my point is, I know nuff Jamaican elders in Africa who move to Africa fe real and set up and ah spread the edutainment of Reggae BUT these are mostly if not all elders from respective Rasta orders and they are not really affiliated to the biznis in terms of all the rae-rae and status. Dem love reggae and Africa so dem com een and ah teach de youths dung ah Africa a sittin' 'bout the music and culture. Now as a Bonafide African (mi nuh 'ave no mixture of nutten foreign ah swim ina mi blood right) mi can tell yu seh African culture is just about the same worldwide if yu ah talk generally, not specifically, suh ah nuh notten too different 'bout the shanty dem ah Kingston and the shanty dem ah Soweto, same rahtid t'ing. Weh mi hate fe si ah de way some a unu Afro-American, Afro-Carib, Afro-Euro breda ah check pan we as Africans, some a (a big majority to be honest ina dis bombo) unu really ah look dung unu nose pan Africans and Africa herself, just to how the world have we underate as a continent and a people. So it mek mi vex when me hear all the dancehall artist ya now a talk all this shit about culture, roots and shit and then all unu dancehall fans guh hail dem as prophets and shit but still ah look dung pan a next breda from Africa cos him doh speak english with a twang or him name funny (to you), or him deh from a poor country, or dem have it a guh round dat nuff dead off ina him country from AIDS ( like yu nuh 'ave AIDS ah foreign mi bombo) Yeah man, mi nuh 'fraid fe talk it cos nuffa ah unu so call concious artists are in it fe money and don't mean a fraction of the rhetoric dem 'ave yu fooled and a listen to. Plus nuffa ah unu reggae listeners are just that 'listeners' . Yu can recite alla Sizzla repatriation tune dem and a bun yu big spliff ina dance whan de big sound a play consious tune, yu forward and seh 'Go deh selector' like seh if there was a plane leaving fe Africa tomoroow yu woulda ketch it! Yu too bloodclit lie to unuself, mi si nuffa unu woulda never even par wid certain man just to how dem "nuh from yahd so how dem can tell wi 'bout wi music and culture" rae-rae and tae-tae. Mi just tyad fe hear all this shit about roots foundation dis and dat from all these artists and fans who doh really give a shit, what is the point in giving out a positive message when yu doh mean it a bloodclaat? After , the works will be the evidence and that's why yu 'ave all dem Sizzla and Profit alla chant 'bout tek of di draws and panty raid and then seh 'mek wi go home ah Africa' ina de same bloodclaat sentence, rahtid! Strictly speaking I couldn't give a shit 'bout ah who wan' fe repatriate or not cos we as a black people got more problems dealing wid each other anywhere on Earth, worse if alla we suddenly find ourselves back on the same continent with all our different backgrounds, hang-ups, ethnicities, etc -ah just bare war dat a guh mek, fe real mi tell yu. Cu pon Jah B (Bunny Wailer) how nuff song de man ah sing 'bout repatriation from all Wailers days to now and he 'fraid fe fly outta rahtid Jamaica, and dem man ya ah de foundation, so where the fuck is all dem talk 'bout culture and mama Africa tekking us as a people? A big 'nowhere' that's where man. Posted by Copper Shot Hyena

To be honest I'd sooner listen to an African brother chant about " Mi wan' reach a Babylon, buy me Lexus, breed mi white trash gal, , buy mi celly, mi big screen and dvd, reach ina lapdance ting" cos there's more likelihood of dat happening than of any of the above mentioned DJ's (and unmentioned) ever fulfilling their slogans and moving to Africa with them 'African Empress' Yeh it sound good on a song but stop fooling yourself and the people, even Marcus Garvey tief money from people with this hustle beginning ah de last century, wah mek yu think ah nuh de same hustlin' ah gwan 2003?? No Rasta fe tek dis personal neither ah just debate mi wan' get outta dis, after me is an African who love reggae music suh yu cyan fight against me, man ah de original fucking lion, original African warrior and me can trace me roots back to before slavery days, mi know where me from and where me going, so nobada nuh get personal and fiesty ah talk we fe talk, dat was my point of view I am open minded, mek mi hear weh DHRboard have fe seh 'bout this. If yu come een a dis post with cuss to me and me reasoning yu just a ruin it fe those who nuh fraid fe speak dem mind and si wah gwan. Love. THE BLACKWIZARD: Posted by Copper Shot Hyena

Greetings,
lmao!!!!!! i couldnt agree with you more. i have argued this very point with many brethren and sistren, and all stare at me cross eyed like what sizzla and capelton say is universal law, or like any of them really understands even the basic problems that Africa faces today, so they certainly couldnt have any "real" solutions. Greetings in the name of Peace, Unity & RASpect:
It is a known fact that most artist these days are all about the money. Da I dem find demself in an industry that is driven by sales, and as a result the artist sing about what sells. InI empathize with your point of view, InI should practice what InI preach. InI raspect dat ma bredren. InI have always chosen to look at this predicament from another perspective. It is not InI right or duty to judge another. InI like these artist were given a talent by the Most High, the Creator of All things; and it is InI duty to use dat talent to its fullest potential and increase InI talents when and wherever possible. Our artists of today were blessed with the message, but it is not for InI to ignore the message which is relevant and true due to the messenger not carrying all out the orders in the message. Our artists have been deemed the messengers, if da I dem choose not to follow the message of which da I dem was the carriers. It will be da I dem who are damned. It InI duty to remain true to Justice and Truth! PEACE My Brethren! This will seem a little bit off key but let's look at the positive in all this because there is one. Sometimes messengers are no where close to perfect however what they offer can be. Don't forget we don't get to live the above-mentioned artists' lives we get to hear their messages; if the messages are positive recognize them, absorb them, embrace them and move forward positively.
We were warned about false prophets and many of these self proclaimed soldiers are such. Here's a challenge; LEAVE ALL JUDGEMENTS TO THE MOST HIGH!!!!!!!!!!! Love!! Posted by GENA D

And I disagree (respecfully) with you both.
I am not one that subscribes too popular or trendy "sayings." To say only the most high can judge is not true. Todays dogmatic religious doctrines have so many people locked in a spiritual and mental coma. When ever the subject of "God" comes up, common sence and rational thinking just fly out the window. It is simply fact that we make judgements every day as individuals; about people, things, or just common everyday decisions we make, (Wheather we want too acknowledge and admit it or not). What is key is "how we judge...and according too what standards." With that said, "Word-Sound-Power" is very real. (it has been scientifically proven). We look around in our communities today and see the negative debilatating effects of this phenomena. Rastafarians are the least too claim ignorance of such a thing, so there is no escuse for those who have had the blessing of being able too reach millions with the use of words and sound. I completely agree with Bro Copper Shot Hyena. Posted by IronKong D

after i read the first line of this text i wanted to add directly. Nice one. personally i think that we tend to forget we are gods creatures and we are far by faar , too ignorant to understand/comprehent his glorious Majesty.
we/I believe, keeps me humble. mothern times ask for foul language ? don't thnk so. so what is happening ? words bounce off the telly, bounce off ouwer lips , to our surroundings , our beloveds. later it ricochets and fragmentates and mess up entire communities.. we crumble , make error , weaken , lose... NOT I . Posted by Tamer Dinc

Michael Walters,
How do you validify 12000?? because the Bible says so? Even though many wouldnt like too admit it, (particularly) biblical acount of history are very questionable. Many are called few are chosen is just another one of those "accepted" sayings that people dont give any real thought too. Posted by IronKong D

I think mr. walthers is right.
The koran says : he has sent 286000 prophets to all peoples all over the world. But I laugh my ass off to see we know the latest trend or what the lyrics to some badboy fu*c , Fuc*iddy F*ckidy , Fuc*, Ni*er, hohoho , p*ssy , benz , glock mackadiddyFuc* song go like. we are being brainwashed and clodded by people we relate to and tv gained our trust too much. I seriusly doubt it's integrity. Even the priest don't always know. On the other hand , we have people who tell answers while the have no sense of what the Fu*ck they just said themselves. an exeption is the 14 Jesus Christs i met in Amsterdam the passed year , hahaha ! Religion is the science of the spiritual realm. fact based , bot unlike regular schience we can't do tests as we please. but for those who doubt , THERE IS A GOD, A LIFE AFTER DEATH. I'VE SEEN THE PROOF. IT'S NO FUN , TAKE ME ON MY WORDS , MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS. LIFE IS A BLESSING. BE GOOD. Posted by Tamer Dinc
