Overclicking!!!
Iv tried some programs that can help us to do this !!

in xp Moded drivers can help alot!! n "coolbits 2.0" (reg file that enables overclocking functions in forceware) is a gerat choice

if ur nvidias control panel dont let OC without "ntune" try to use "power strip" better n faster OC program (im using this in a vista ultimate desktop PC)

mod ur cooler ---if ur Graphic card dont have a fan at the top of ur heatsik istall one n get the power frim ur motherboard or directly from ur "PSU"

There is plenty of things you can do to a GPU in order to increase its performance .
I would like to write some additional info to your post.
First of for the moment NVIDIA is curently at generation number 9 with the geforce series...

If you have a geforce FX (5100-5950) you might as well dump it ... It's arhitecture is poorly designed and overclocking won't help at all...

If you have a geforce 6 than besides overclocking you cand unlock some extra pipelines (those are small parts in the GPU that on some GPU's have been disabled)
You can activate these pipelines if you own a 6200 or a 6800 (not all of them) There are a lot of links on the web on how to transform your 6200 into a 6600GT ... All you need is good cooling and some luck ...

Geforce 7 series has mostly the same arhitecture like 6 series but has the disabled pipelines cut with laser so YOU CAN'T ACTIVATE them . Overclocking is the only option here . Most overclockable cards are 7300GT , 7600GS , 7900GS ...

Geforce 8 and 9 series comes with a completly new arhitecture totaly different from the previous ones... Nvidia invested nearly half of billion dollars in this and it's really revolutienary...
In the past generations you could only change 2 clocks :
gpu and memory ... now you have a third clock as well : "shader" which improves shader performance ...

In overclocking you also need to know that temeperatures differ ... Most cards cand hold on to temperatures up to 90-105 but these high temperatures will surely kill them in time so please take care of the cooling part ...

Also remember that overclocking, unlocking of pipelines, hardware and software modding , bios rewriting makes you loose warranty on the card ...
