As we mature and grow in the things of the Lord, we must all reach the level at which we operate beyond our feelings. In order to be fruitful and effective, we need to be governed by the Holy Spirit rather than the ever-changing needs of our emotions.

When feeling discouraged, remind yourself that in Christ, you have all things that pertain unto life and godliness; therefore rejoice! You’re not rejoicing because you feel depressed, but because you know in Whom you believe.

Believe God and His Word. The Lord shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory. You shall prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers.

God hears you when you say, “Lord, I just don’t feel anything, but I’m going to praise You anyway. Pray that the Lord will strengthen you.

Pray and tell the enemy, “You’re a liar. My flesh will not govern me. Your prayer is unto the Lord. Your prayer is your connection to the Almighty One.

Just when you think that you’ve exhausted yourself before the Lord, I dare you to press into His presence even further. Refuse to be used against yourself.

There is a time and season for everything, this is your season.

If you love Him enough to ask Him what you can do for Him, then your relationship is growing deep. If you only pray to God when things are tough or you need something, then your walk with Him is shallow. If you find yourself praying to Him many times a day just because you love to be in His presence, then your relationship is growing deep. If you get mad at God or disappointed in Him when He doesn’t do what you say, then your walk with Him is shallow. If you believe that God wants to answer the prayers you pray in line with His will, then your relationship with Him is growing deep. God has so much to speak into our lives, but if we don’t draw apart from the busyness of our day and spend time alone with Him in quietness and solitude, we will not hear it. Jesus Himself spent much time alone with God. If anyone could get away with not doing it, surely it would have been Him. How much more important must it be for us?
