Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:6-7. These verses have come to mean a whole lot to me these past weeks. I feel like I get a fresh revelation and understanding each time I read them cos before now, worries and anxieties have been so much a part of me. There are times when I’d get up at night and start wondering: why, when, what if… and so on. But now I’ve learnt to lay down all the worries and cast all my cares upon God cos He cares for me. When I pray about something and the answer I expect doesn’t seem to be coming or when it seems like a ‘no’, I’ve learnt to trust that God’s in charge of everything (more like He’s on top of things). He knows what’s best for me and has my best interests at heart. If He did not spare His own Son but sent Him to the cross for my sake, what else will he withhold from me?I realize that faith doesn’t need perfect understanding, it just trusts God! Right now, Hi s peace is guarding my heart and my mind, and I’m resting on the integrity of His Word. I trust Him to make a masterpiece out of my life. Father, I thank You for the masterpiece You’re making out of me. Thank You that I can trust You and that Your Word never fails.I pray for integrity, wisdom, strength of character, and kindness and that Your light will continually shine through me to others, in Jesus precious name. Amen
