It was a cold starlit night,
as he sat..thoughts racing through his mind
Then he looked over and saw
a figure approach him from behind.
"Excuse me," she said softly
"I dont mean to be a bother
But can you tell me where I can find
A place called Le'Marcs acting theatre?"
"Im sorry but I wish to be left alone"
He said..gravely dismssing her
"But your the only one I can find out this late."
And she took one step closer.
"You should go" he said from where he sat
But then he walked up and as he saw her face
It brought him a feeling of nostalgia
As he remembered much happier days.
Days when life was simple
The world was much easier back then,
But his thoughts were interuppted
As she started to speak again
"They wanted people to try out"she said
"Even someone as ugly as me!"
He looked at her and gave a slight smile
At the mere thought of the irony.
"I really need this" she said
"And the deadline is for tonight"
But he turned back around and gazed up at the stars
Seemingly to ignore her plight.
"I could see Im disturbing you"
She said as she turned to go
He walked up to the ledge as if taking one last look
Then said "Insead of telling you..I'll takeyou myself to the show"
The walk together was silent
Except for the monotanous comments here and there
But it was qietly enjoyed by both..
When suddenly he announced "We're here."
The inevitable parting was difficult to bear
And brought them both unexplainable sorrow.
He turned around to leave when she asked
"Will I see you again tomorrow?"
He tuned back around..his voice choked up
And said "I dont even know you.."
"I know,"she said "But I felt something tonight
And you cant deny you didnt feel it too."
He looked at her and said
"Yes..I felt it just the same"
Then smiled to himself and asked
"But can I at least have your name?"
The next day they met sure enough
Time passed more quickly this time.
They met the day after that as well..
And before they knew it...years had gone by
The journey together was not an easy one
And although they encountered many difficult times
They stuck it through together
For that was the only way they were satisfied.
The care and joy they recieved from each other
seemed unmatched to them
But they knew eventually they would be separated..
For all good things..must soon come to end
And as he lay on his deathbed..
his wife at his side
He said "Come my dear..there's something
That I no longer wish to hide."
And above the tears and sounds of her husband
Gasping for his last breath,
She leaned in so close
To fullfill her husbands last request.
His words were painfull..and diffcult to bear
But although her husband was now dead,
She felt closer to him than ever,
For this is what he said...
"There was a reason," he whispered
"That I was up on a ledge that high.
But by gaceing me with your presence..
That night..You saved my life' "
dont'matter
and those who matter
Dont Mind.
Looking forword for a good friendship Eccept it.
